Do's & Don'ts

Do's:

Brush your hair before washing to ensure no knots.

Secure your hair using one hand whilst detangling to avoid any pressure on your own hair or extensions.

Make sure you shampoo your hair with sulphate and silicone free shampoo and conditioner.

When you wash your extensions always wash in a downward motion to avoid knotting the hair.

Leave conditioner in for 3-5 minutes before rinsing.

Brush your hair/scalp at least three times a day using a loop/tangle teezer be aware of the connections of the extensions.

Before bed secure your hair in a plait or ponytail.

Avoid tight hair ups or ponytails for the first week after application.

When swimming always ties your hair in a plait or ponytail to avoid salt and chlorine. Swimming isn't recommended with tapes.

Always cover your hair extensions when in direct sunlight for long periods.

Always dry the root and tape connection to ensure the connection has dried completely to ensure maximum strength. Tape is at its weakest when wet. Make sure you apply no pressure when drying.

Make sure you wash your hair a full two days after application. Avoid any exercise or getting hot/sweaty.

Wash your hair in tepid water. 

Don'ts:

Don't go to bed with wet hair.

Don't put conditioner on root of the extensions

Don't leave extensions in for more than 12 weeks.

Don't leave your hair extensions wet for long periods of time as they may become matted.

Don't put any products (sun cream,fake tan, bronzer) near the extensions as it may change the colour of the extensions.

For a safe lasting application we recommend you follow all steps of the aftercare. 

Don’t put your hair extensions up for a long time. Or constantly this can cause traction alopecia.

As a result of natural shedding its not unusual to lose 0-15 strands of your hair extensions over the term of wear. Tapes you can lose 0-3 pairs.
